Imagine this: you’re happily working away, sipping your coffee, when someone approaches you with an offer that sounds too good to be true. “How would you like a £5,000 pay rise for doing exactly the same thing you’re doing now?” They continue to explain that all you need to do is fill out one single form and voilà! You’re £5,000 richer.
Wait, what?!
Yes, please! Who wouldn’t say yes to that? But before you jump in with both feet, let’s break down what this magical offer entails.

The Sweet Deal
Alongside that lovely £5,000 additional income, this offer comes with some pretty fantastic perks:
Improved electronic systems: Imagine a world where your job is made easier with technology that actually works for you. No more wrestling with outdated systems!
Completely digital paperwork: Say goodbye to mountains of paperwork! Everything you need will be just a click away, saving you time and sanity.
Free promotional materials: Get ready to market your services without spending a penny! Free materials mean more exposure and potentially more clients.
Earning potential galore: The more you work, the more points you earn! Use those points for training, or to offset your yearly professional renewal fee. It’s like a rewards program but for your career!
An open workplace: Your opinions matter! You’ll be in an environment where your voice is heard and can actually lead to changes. How refreshing is that?
Why Wouldn’t You Take It?
Now, let’s be real. The world is changing, and so should your career choices. With the cost of living going up and disposable income dwindling, why wouldn’t you consider an easy opportunity to secure more income for yourself?
Let’s break it down with some simple math to show what I mean:
Here’s a snapshot of potential savings when switching to SSI compared to your current one (no specifics of who...) incorporating so very minimal and conservative numbers for the specifics of your operation... I would imagine (and hope that you are teaching a lot more than quoted below) so that £5,000 is likely to become even higher! I should also note that the comparison prices are likely not exact as they arent the easiest to find online but from some quick research and based on previous experience of emptying my pocket... they are more or less there abouts.
Item | Quantity | Current Agency (£) | SSI (£) | Total Yearly saving (£) |
Dive Centre Renewal Fee | 1 dive centre | 1620 | 360 | 1260 |
Divemaster Renewal | 2 divemaster renewals | 404 | 176 | 228 |
Instructor Renewal | 2 instructor renewals | 1072 | 260 | 812 |
Speciality Instructor Guide | 3 instructor guides | 99 | 21 | 80 |
Open Water E-learning | 20 open waters taught | 1860 | 880 | 980 |
Speciality E-learning | 25 specs taught | 1625 | 825 | 875 |
Try Dive | 50 try dives completed | 510 | 0 | 510 |
First Aid E-learning | 15 first aid courses taught | 705 | 450 | 255 |
Total Savings | 5000 |
So, What’s the Catch?
Thats the point - there is none. The numbers don't lie, and the fact is that SSI is an ever growing and changing agency that is leading the way in the industry. If you like pens - we have them too. In fact - I got 2 boxes for free when I crossed over as well as 2 packs of mugs, 3 flag poles and a rug... so don't worry about losing out on your yearly treat! If you are interested in joining a forward thining and innovative, but more importantly supportive agency, then drop me a message and I would be more than happy to discuss any concerns that you have. The above is very light hearted to get the point across but I cannot tell you how much of a no brainer decision it can be for yourself and your business. The crossover process is extremely easy and supportive and those of you thinking that for whatever reason you will lose customers because of changing from what you teach now. Trust me - they wont. They are there for your teaching and nothing else. If they are anything like mine, they will love the new and exciting changes and systems that are in place for them such as the App. I know its a daunting thought to leave what you know - i've been there too... But, look around and see what is happening in the industry. Things are changing. Don't get left behind in the industry, just to maintain one way loyalty.
