Service Description
This 3 day course is meticulously designed to equip you with th necessary skills to teach proficiently and safely using the Mares Horizon SCR Rebreather. You will learn to deliver clear and concise skill demonstrations, emphasising safety protocols while enhancing overall student experience, as well as teaching required academics. On successful completion you will be able to: - Conduct Try SCR programs - Teach the SCR Diving program - Eligible to complete the SCR Extended Range Instructor Program (with additional prerequisites in relation to hours and decompression experience) Requirements: - You must have your own Mares Horizon SCR unit and other equipment as outlined in SSI General Training Standards. - Have a clean record and approval from the manufacturer and SSI. - Have logged at least 50 total SCR dives on the unit, 30 SCR diver deeper than 25 meters and 50 hours run time. - Have the following certifications, SCR Diving, Enriched Air Nitrox instructor, Deep diving instructor and Diver stress & rescue instructor. - Complete the XR Candidate Water Fitness Evaluation as outlined in the SSI General Training Standards. Pricing: - The cost of this course is based on the training being completed at Vivian Quarry North Wales. - The SCR Instructor materials will be additional to this course training fee. - Additional costs for transport and accommodation will be applicable to courses requested outside of Vivian Quarry, North Wales. - You will be responsible for paying for any additional items during the course such as nitrox fills, consumables etc. Dates: The dates for the course listed are the start dates and will be 3 days consecutive. For instance the course on the 5th of April will be the 5th, 6th and 7th of April.
